Kevin Lalande
Kevin Lalande is a Managing Director of Santé Ventures, a new venture capital firm in Austin, Texas with deep healthcare investment and operations experience. Prior to founding Santé Ventures, Mr. Lalande spent six years with Austin Ventures, a prominent venture firm with $3 billion under management. Before joining Austin Ventures, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. Previously, Mr. Lalande co-founded and sold three companies: NetProfit, sold to a privately held advertising agency in 1996; Serus, sold to Netopia (Nasdaq: NTPA) in 1998; and TimeMarker, sold to PrimeHoldings (OTCBB: PRIM) in 2001. Mr. Lalande received an MBA with highest distinction from the Harvard Business School.
Philip Sanger, MD
Philip Sanger, MD has extensive experience in the healthcare industry and is the founder and former CEO of what is now Intercede Health. He is an internist, pulmonary and critical care physician with over twenty-five years of clinical experience. Prior to starting Intercede Health, he was a partner of Waco Lung Associates, a pulmonary practice in Waco, Texas and was the Chief of Pulmonary Medicine at the Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Sanger has started several medically-oriented businesses including: a profitable Independent Practice Association; a successful homecare/nursing company; a full-service medical complex with lab, surgery and imaging facilities; and helped launch and was one of the original investors in a publicly traded Medicare-Advantage Health Plan.
J. David Enloe
J. David Enloe Jr. is Senior Vice President, Operations at Introgen Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq:INGN) in Houston, Texas. He is also Chief Executive Officer of Introgen Technical Services, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Introgen Therapeutics focused on its expanding contract manufacturing and development business. From 1989 to 1995, he held various positions at Centrilift, a division of Baker Hughes, Inc., an energy services company, including Region General Manager, Southeast Asia, and he worked at Arthur Andersen LLP as an accountant prior to that time. Mr. Enloe is a Certified Public Accountant and received his B.B.A. in accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.
Sanjay Awasthi, MD
Sanjay Awasthi, MD is an oncologist at the Texas Cancer Center in Arlington, Texas and the Associate Vice President for Clinical Research and Professor, Molecular Biology and Immunology at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to his position at North Texas, Dr. Awasthi was a Research Professor in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at the University of Texas, at Arlington. While at UT-Arlington, he filed several patents in regard to the use of RLIP76 for clinical applications and is a co-founder of Terapio. Dr. Awasthi continues an active research program at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and has 100+ peer reviewed publications to his credit.
